This collection is arranged in series as follows:

Series 1: General - records and materials regarding numerous academic and non-academic awards given out by Berea College or awarded to Berea College students from outside organizations

Series 2: Weatherford-Hammond Prize for Berea College Students -  for Outstanding Writing about Appalachia - materials, including prize winning writings, and records documenting the award

Series 3: Honorary Degrees - contains both records and materials regarding honorary degrees granted by the College and materials about individuals recommended for and/or granted an honoray degree

Series 4: Scholarship Day and Learning, Labor and Service Award Programs and Materials - materials, consisting primarily of programs, from annual Scholarship Day (1954 - 2009) and Learning, Labor and Service Award celebrations (2010 -  ), documenting the recipients of numerous annual awards presented to students

Series 5: Weatherford Award for Outstanding Published Writing about Appalachia - records regarding the prize first awarded in 1971 (for writings published in 1970)
