Series 6: Manuscripts

This series contains the bulk of materials in the collection and includes research notes, note cards, bibliographic cards and notes, drafts, typescripts and galleys, correspondence, publications and photographs related to research and manuscript production on a wide range of topics. The series has been divided into six subseries by format and topic: Research and notes, Contract and publication information, Press, Manuscripts, Note cards, Index cards. These have been further divided into subsubseries by manuscript title or subject.

Sub-Series 1: Research and notes

Young collected materials for a variety of projects, including his published materials as well as general interests. This subseries includes notes, correspondence concerning research, photocopies and Photostats of research materials, photographs and negatives. The subseries has been further divided into sub-subseries according to the topic of research.

Contains notes and correspondence for a series of articles which Young submitted for inclusion in this Dictionary from 1978-1983.
